1. Acceptance of Terms. By accessing or using DealHound ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service. DealHound is an AI-powered outreach platform for self-storage investors. The Service helps users discover facilities, generate email campaigns, and manage deal pipelines.
3. User Accounts. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
4. Acceptable Use. You agree not to use the Service to: send spam or unsolicited bulk email; harass, threaten, or intimidate any person; violate any applicable laws or regulations, including CAN-SPAM; attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data; or use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
5. Email Sending. You are solely responsible for the content of emails sent through the Service. All emails must comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and include a functioning unsubscribe mechanism, which DealHound provides automatically.
6. Data and Privacy. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy below. We take the security of your data seriously and use encryption for sensitive information like email credentials.
7. Support and Account Access. To provide support, investigate problems, and keep the Service working correctly, authorized DealHound personnel may access and view your account without advance notice to you. This includes your markets, campaigns, contacts, email content, replies, and billing information. This access is read-only. Our staff can view your account but cannot send email, launch campaigns, change your settings, or take any other action on your behalf. Every access is recorded in an audit log that captures who accessed the account, which account was accessed, and when. Access is limited to a small number of authorized DealHound personnel.
8. Subscription and Payment. Paid features require an active subscription. Billing is handled through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the account settings page.
9. Limitation of Liability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. DealHound shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Modifications. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Text Messages. When you create an account you provide a mobile phone number. By creating an account you agree that DealHound may send you text messages about your account, such as service notifications, security alerts, support responses, and important changes to the Service. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we never sell or rent your phone number to anyone. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop account text messages at any time by contacting us at support@deal-hound.io. Stopping text messages does not close your account, and we will continue to reach you by email.
Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect. Account information (email address, mobile phone number, hashed password); email credentials (encrypted with AES-256-GCM); market data (markets searched, facilities discovered); campaign data (emails generated and sent); usage data (how you interact with the Service).
2. How We Use Your Information. To provide and operate the Service; to send emails on your behalf; to detect replies and bounces; to process payments through Stripe; to improve and develop new features.
3. Data Security. Email passwords are encrypted using AES-256-GCM. All data is stored with Row Level Security policies so that one customer cannot access another customer's data. Authorized DealHound personnel can view your account for support purposes, as described in Section 8. API keys and secrets are never exposed to client-side code. All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption.
4. Third-Party Services. Supabase (database and authentication); Stripe (payment processing); Smartlead (email delivery); Google Places API (facility discovery); Anthropic Claude (AI email generation); Vercel (hosting).
5. Data Retention. Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
6. Your Rights. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to disconnect your email account at any time.
7. Cookies. We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
8. Staff Access to Your Account. Authorized DealHound personnel may view your account to provide support, investigate problems, and maintain the Service. This includes your markets, campaigns, contacts, email content, billing information, and the replies you receive from third parties through the Service. This access is read-only and does not permit us to send email, launch campaigns, or change your data. Every access is logged with the staff member's identity, the account viewed, and the time.
9. Your Phone Number. We collect a mobile phone number when you create an account. We use it only to contact you about your own account: service notifications, security alerts, and support. We do not use your phone number for marketing or promotional messages, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not sell or rent it. Your number is stored with the same protections as the rest of your account data and is never shown to the facilities or contacts you reach out to through the Service. You can ask us to update or remove it at any time by contacting support@deal-hound.io.
